Mark has been investing in startup biotech companies since 1997. Some of Mark’s investments include Xenoport (XNPT), Monogram Biosciences (MGRM) acquired by LabCorp, and Sunesis Pharmaceuticals (SNSS). Mark was the founder of Catalyst Real Estate Group, a corporate real estate services firm specializing in the representation of biotechnology, pharmaceutical and technology companies such as Alza Corporation (Johnson & Johnson), Affymetrix, and Élan Pharmaceuticals. Catalyst later merged with four independent corporate real estate firms leading to the formation of CRESA Partners. Mark is a co-founder, principal and managing partner of the 45 office national corporate real estate firm. He is also a co-founder, principal and managing partner of Drawbridge Partners, a real estate development and investment company. Mark is on the Board of Trustees at The Scripps Research Institute and holds a B.S. degree in Economics from the University of San Francisco.
